Set of exceptionally rare unreleased 1990 'AL Toon' football cards. The only place that I have ever seen these cards is on an uncut sheet and only a handful of these uncut sheets exist. The prototype AL Toon figure can be seen featured in the 1990 Toy Fair catalog.

1988 unreleased Doug Williams football card
This card is one of the rarest unreleased cards from 1988 along with the Art Still. There were 9 unreleased football cards from 1988 which can be seen on the uncut proof sheets. Doug Williams was the only player still released, but all released cards were printed with a 'Super Bowl MVP' emblem to capitalize on the Redskins Super Bowl win.
This is the actual photograph from Super Bowl XXII that Kenner used for the card.

1997 Mike Skinner Unreleased card
This is the unreleased Mike Skinner card for the 1997 Winners Circle set by Kenner. Skinner drove for the #31 Lowes team, but for unknown reasons he was listed him as '#16' on the checklist. Kenner even went as far as printing his name on the back of the package with the wrong number. Eventually Kenner realized the error and never released his figure until they corrected the number the next year.

1988 Tim Raines Unreleased Talking Baseball Error card
1988 Andre Dawson error card with Tim Raines pictured. This is a strange card and the only one I have ever seen. I found it in a lot of Talking Baseball cards that I picked up from a dealer in Cincinnati. I believe all the photo's from the set are from 1986 and the images were reversed since both Dawson and Raines both played for the Expos that year. The cards that were released show Dawson in a Cubs uniform and Raines in his Expos uniform with his bat on his shoulder.

1999 Dale Earnhardt & Jeff Gordon unreleased cards
Set of 1999 Winners Circle Lenticular/Motion cards. They appear to show the drivers 'in action' when tilted. Above are two Dale Earnhardt cards celebrating his Charlotte victories. And below is a card of Jeff Gordon celebrating his 1999 Daytona 500 win. The cards would have been inserted in the Pit Row series which included a diecast car and stage.
2000 Dale Earnhardt / Tony Stewart unreleased cards
This is a series of Dale Earnhardt & Tony Stewart test cards with holographic backgrounds that Hasbro developed for the 'Ultimate Series'. The cards would have come with a small 1/43 scale car, but the series was cancelled before production. Stewart would have been paired with crew chief Greg Zipadelli. Below is sample of what final product would have been if produced.
1991 unreleased football card
1991 William 'Refrigerator' Perry unreleased Chicago Bears card. Perry is the only unreleased 1991 card to surface. Unreleased cards after 1990 seem to be few and far between supposedly due to Kenner tightening up internal controls..

1990 unreleased baseball cards
1990 unreleased baseball cards. Ruben Sierra and Todd Zeile are the only two unreleased baseball cards known from 1990. They are rare, but not as scarce as the other years.
1989 unreleased baseball cards
1989 unreleased baseball cards. This was large set with fifteen cards. Most of these players were listed on the package but cancelled because they were traded in 1989. All the cards are fairly scarce. But for some unknown reason the John Tudor card is exceptionally rare. I have all the cards in the set but Tudor which is on my want list.
1989 unreleased Legends football cards
1989 unreleased Legends football cards. A second series of Legends Collection was planned for 1989, but supposedly cancelled due to poor sales. Joe Namath and Roger Staubach are the only unreleased cards that have surfaced from the set. An early press release is below with the cards.

1988 unreleased football cards
This is my 1988 set of unreleased football cards. If you look close at the back of the package you'll notice a few names listed that were never in the 1988 set. These are players that were either traded or retired at the end of 1987. Since the figures were cancelled we wound up with 8 extra cards since the cards have to be made in advance of packaging. Cards were made of Ken Easley, Art Still, Walter Payton, Todd Bell, Ron Brown, Tony Collins, Wes Chandler, and George Rodgers. These were not mass produced cards, but most pop up from time to time. It's unknown why, but the Art Still is exceptionally rarer than the rest with perhaps fewer than a dozen cards known.
