The back of each SLU usually featured a preliminary checklist of figures, but often names were dropped as they got closer to production due to trades. The 1989 checklist featured several players that were never released because of the large checklist that year. Six known packaged samples have shown up from this list so far including Hurst, Horner, and Palmeiro. Fifteen unreleased cards also exist from this series.
